General Care
  • Frequently vacuum your rug in different directions and only in a low-power setting without the beater brush
  • Keep rotating your rug to extend its life
  • Keep your rugs away from direct sunlight and avoid continuous exposure
  • Snip any thread with scissors instead of pulling them out
  • Treat any stain as quickly as possible by blotting it with a clean, dry cloth before it dries up
  • Get your rug cleaned by only reputed rug experts
  • Do not worry if your rug sheds for the first 3-6 months. This is natural and will diminish over time
  • Avoid flattening piles by using rug protectors under the legs of your heavy furniture
  • Do not fold your rugs. Roll it front-side-out wrapping it in a cloth to protect it
  • Avoid placing the rug near damp surfaces
Jute
  • Avoid beating your jute rug as it damages the fibres
  • In case dabbing does not remove the stain, try using a mild detergent
  • Jute does not do well in moist or damp areas. Try to keep them dry and use a hairdryer in the cold setting in case of any wetness
  • In case of curled corners, slightly damp the area and leave it overnight by weighing it down evenly.
Sisal
  • Avoid steam cleaning or using wet shampoo as it can cause shrinkage and discolouration
  • In case of solid spills, you need to scrape up the solid bits with a dull knife or nail filer and then follow the usual process of cleaning stains
  • Regular vacuuming is good for sisal rugs
Silk
  • Use only cold water to clean silk rugs
  • Vacuum regularly
  • Keep away highly saturated liquids like wine or juice from the rugs
  • Use only silk rug shampoo to clean the rug and avoid using bleach
  • Get it cleaned professionally at least once a year
Bamboo
  • Avoid brushing or rubbing your rug
  • Use a hairdryer in the cool setting to dry it in case of wetness
  • Keep your rugs away from open fireplaces, hot surfaces, sharp objects, and excessive humid places
  • While storing the rug, make sure it is clean and dry and stored in a well-ventilated area
  • It is advisable to deep clean your rug by a professional every 2 to 2.5 years.
Recycled PET
  • Because of their excellent moisture-retention properties, you can wash Recycled PET rugs
  • Steam cleaning is an effective way to get rid of dirt and dust
  • Do not vacuum if the rug is wet
  • Do not bleach recycled PET rugs
Wool
  • Shaking out the rug for 30 seconds each day reduces the need to vacuum
  • Avoid dragging your furniture on the rug
  • It is advisable to deep clean your rug from a professional every 2 to 2.5 years
  • To further avoid staining, use talcum powder on the area
